Seattle Antiquarian Book Fair

The organizers just sent me this email about the Seattle rare book show October 9-10 (coincidentally, the same weekend as the Wisconsin Book Festival in Madison and the Great Lakes Booksellers Regional Show in Dearborn, MI). Seattle is a great show. I attended two years ago. In the space of a 100 yards I saw signed first editions of Hunter S. Thompson, Ayn Rand, and Kurt Vonnegut (with a funny inscription about how his publisher had remaindered most of the first editions for one of his early books. Vonnegut bought up the stock and later signed them to give to friends).

from the email:

"The premier book event in the Northwest, the Seattle Antiquarian Book
Fair (SABF), is delight to inform you that this year the Fair has
expanded to include a Book Arts Show. Book artists, conservators and
binders, as well as fine and letter presses, will be offering their
unique works for sale to the book collecting public.

Don't forget that the Fair will be held October 9 & 10, 2004 at the
Seattle Center Exhibition Hall on Mercer Street. Visit
www.SeattleBookFair.com for an up to date list of all exhibitors. Email
info@seattlebookfair.com or call 206.323.3999 if you have additional
questions."
