Today received an email from Carl Lennertz at Book Sense with some good rising titles, including Tales of a Female Nomad and Himalayan Dhaba. Gotta remember to recommend these titles this week at the bookstore. A few days ago he recommended Haven Kimmel's The Solace of Leaving Early, and it is good. I'm almost finished and the plot has built into a tight family drama around two characters, Langston, the arrogant daughter who protects her obliviousness to her surroundings, and Amos, the town preacher who questions his faith after a tragic situation with two of his flock.
