A few weeks ago I read Daniel Quinn’s upcoming book, The Holy. He’s returned to some of the more religious themes from The Story of B. His fiction writing has changed dramatically with After Dachau, I wonder what Ishmael would look like if he wrote it today.
The plot for The Holy is strikingly similar to American Gods: a man goes on a reluctant journey to discover forgotten Gods. Gaiman built a more intricate plot, but Quinn has always focused more on ideas than story.
The Ishmael.com website links to BookSense.com and is one of the better affiliates. (That link sold A LOT of copies of After Dachau.) I expect many BookSense.com stores will see orders this fall when The Holy comes out.
