Finished Haven Kimmel’s The Solace of Leaving Early today. Pretty remarkable stuff. This will be a great reading club book in paperback. Not sure who the Hardcover readers are going to be. Any ideas? Definitely A Girl Named Zippy fans, possibly people who just read The Lovely Bones and maybe some Alice Hoffman fans ready for some deeper religious/philosophical themes. Kimmel’s found a great voice for modern small town life.
