Recently finished
Constance by Catherine Cantrell. The plot centers on a NY book editor who finds a writer that rekindles her love of literature and poetry. The book uses poetry to connect the reader to the character of the writer. I liked the urgency placed on the importance of books. There were so many NYC landmarks, I fear it's not going to have a large audience outside of Manhattan. But maybe the author knew this?

There's a line where the editor advises the writer, a poet, to try writing a novel filled with poetry. Or to sketch a novel in poem form. I wonder if Cantrell is really a poet who received the same advice?
