Read some pieces from the new McSweeney's #8 today. The binding and design of this one is quite spectacular. I remember reading about different literary "schools" and thinking how exciting it would be to have a group like the Beats, or the Harlem Renaissance, to rejuvenate the creative atmosphere. We have the McSweeney's crowd.
