This past Saturday I participated in the Seattle peace march against a war in Iraq. My reasons were personal, I'm still making up my mind on the war, and wanted to experience this side of the argument.
The march was powerful. Being with thousands of others expressing their beliefs, assembling to send a message to our leaders...it made me proud of our country. If I did it again I'd have chanted "USA, USA", because it felt more like my country. Much more than the comic-book-superhero language of good and evil that Bush has chosen for the past year.

On Feb. 12, Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia made an eloquent speech on the Senate floor. It's refreshing to hear a senator calling on the Senate and the President to consider the consequences of the current situation.
