In the "Oh So Sad" department, BN announced falling sales for February. What we really need is an announcement at BEA that Independents' market share has risen for the last year. The ABA announces it at BEA, and I think last year the market share held steady at around 16%. (Much lower than what we had fifteen years ago, but there are fewer independent bookstores now. So if the current number could regain, it'd be huge.)
