Great rant at MobyLives.com about the changes BN is making to their superstores to move the stock away from new books to free space for chocolates, bargain books, birthday cards, and other higher margin product (or junk, whichever you prefer). The Letters are also interesting to read. Check out Paul Collins's letter on ads in books (he's the author of the bookseller's wet dream, Sixpence House).
