I'm reading a lot of literary theory these days (don't ask), and trying to get closer to figuring out what the theorist Stanley Fish believes in, and what books he likes. So far, it seems to be only Paradise Lost. Admittedly, I haven't spent hours and hours on this endeavor (other seemingly silly quests, yes, but not this particular silly quest). But the hunt turned up his diaries on Slate.com.
Which reminded me that Linda Ramsdell, bookseller extraordinaire and owner of The Galaxy Bookshop in Hardwick, VT, also did a slate.com diary a few years ago:
