HOW TO READ LITERATURE LIKE A PROFESSOR
by Thomas Foster Often literary criticism books aimed at the general public drop to out-of-print status in mere months. Or they live on to sell a dozen copies each year to strange men who like cream-colored cardigans and listen to Peter Frampton way too much. This is not such a book. This one will be read by book clubs and forever change their discussions. Students will read this book and finally understand what an English major does for four years. This is a must-read for anyone who likes to read fiction and wants to know how to see the added layers of their favorite books. |
