John Irving at Northshire Bookstore
The best event I've heard of all week is at Northshire Bookstore in Manchester, NH:
Celebrate with John Irving as his New York Times bestseller
A Widow for One Year
becomes the new film The Door in the Floor
On Thursday, June 10 at 5 PM, Northshire and Manchester's Village Picture Shows will host an advance screening of The Door in the Floor , starring Jeff Bridges and Kim Basinger and adapted from John Irving 's novel A Widow for One Year . Irving, who worked closely with writer/director Tod Williams, will be on hand to introduce the film.
Following the screening, Irving will sign copies of A Widow for One Year at Northshire.
Tickets are $25, and are available at Northshire Bookstore and Village Picture Shows. Proceeds will benefit the Maple Street School Scholarship Fund.
