Word of the Day
During sales calls with stores, I'm starting to develop favorite words. Last season it seemed like I couldn't pull a book out of my bag without calling it a "Fantastic new title" or "Fascinating." I was fixated on F words.
Now I'm two weeks into selling the fall season and "context" seems to be the magic word. "This book gives the reader context to her work." Or "In this context, it's easy to see how this title could sell 100 copies..."
Maybe it's a subliminal connection to Beau Friedlander's Context Books.
