Tattered Cover to Open Suburban Location
Big News! Joyce Meskis and the Tattered Cover crew are expanding to their third location in Highlands Park, CO. The suburb is located south of Denver in a rapidly growing region. (The area was prairie fields twenty five years ago.)
This is huge, simply because the Tattered Cover model for stores is huge. The new location will be over 22,000 sq ft with 150,000+ titles. That's all books, all new books. No DVD's, CD's, etc.
TC has followed a very strategic plan not to open too many locations, but to focus on making their two stores destination shopping events for the city. I, and most of my family, used to travel 45 minutes to spend a night browsing at their Cherry Creek store.
Congrats to Tattered Cover for seizing this opportunity!
