New Musician Alert
I just returned from my first Josh Ritter concert. This guy has it.
It's a conicidence that Bob Dylan is releasing Chronicles soon and Josh Ritter is increasingly hitting the scene because listening to the words in Ritter's music remind me so much of Dylan. And his playful aloofness onstage reminds me of Beck.
Please, for the love of god, check out his latest "Hello Starling." Listen to the tracks: Snow is Gone, Man Burning, You Don't Make It Easy Babe, Bright Smile, Wings, Bone of Song, and Kathleen.
That's seven of the eleven songs on the disc. Yes, it's that good.
My favorite part of the show was watching him smile on stage. It was as if he knew how lucky he was to be traveling the world playing his music, and he was grateful that he was getting the chance. It was fun to watch someone having joy on stage.
