Nicholas Hoare = Best Bookstore in Ottawa

I went to the Nicholas Hoare bookstore in Ottawa today. What a beautiful beautiful place. The shelves are floor to ceiling and all of the books are lined up face out in neat rows. All of the books are face out. It's a wondrous, unique experience to walk into a bookstore and see all of the covers staring out at you. Hell-o books!

Here were some of my fun discoveries (Nicholas Hoare doesn't seem to have a website, so I've linked the titles to Eagle Harbor Books, another gorgeous bookstore to lose an afternoon at):

What the Best College Teachers Do by Ken Bain
from Harvard Univ Press

Created in Darkness by Troubled Americans: The Best of McSweeney's, Humor Category edited by Dave Eggers

Pledged: The Secret Life of Sororities by Alexandra Robbins
