The Fabulous Miss Laura Llew
okay, this bookseller in South Carolina cracks me up on a regular basis. Here is a sample from a recent post:
"My First Customer Of The Morning: These Sylvia Browne books are so expensive! How am I supposed to afford groceries if I buy these?
Me: Please, just look at the author picture. You won't be feeling hungry a long time after that.
It always amazes me when customers ask things like that - as if I am in charge of their budget. Heaven knows if I were they would be wearing better shoes, donning a better hair cut, and have a copy of "What Not To Wear" to be kept on their nightstand and used like a bible."
