History of Political Parties 


I'm in the middle of reading Party of the People by Jules Witcover, a history of the democrats. The companion volume is Grand Old Party by Lewis L. Gould, a history of the republicans. Reading about the secret deals and fueds in the elections of the 1800's is doing wonders to soothe me this weekend.
